What is the Certified Wireless Specialist (CWS) certification? +
The CWS (now rebranded as CWSS, i.e., Certified Wireless Sales Specialist) is an entry-level vendor-neutral certification by CWNP. It validates foundational knowledge of 802.11 WiFi networks, RF basics, hardware/software, and organizational goals for sales, marketing, and support roles.
Note: The CWS-101 exam retired on December 31, 2024, and was replaced by CWSS-102 in July 2024. Existing CWS certifications were automatically updated to CWSS.
